We knew this day would come. Elon Musk (for the most part) is right. Most people (non extremist) shouldn’t want to live in an echo chamber. The media, the establishment, the 1% would prefer if we did. Based on my observations after the latest algorithm change, many were angered on both the left and the right. I had a productive couple days. Traditionally, I like to seek out terrible liberal talking points and engage them on Twitter. So when Twitter started putting them in my timeline, while annoyed by the viewpoints, having them just show up in my timeline was rather convenient. I posted about this last night, so I thought I would start off with some recent developments on those thoughts. Let’s get back to today.
In today’s news, President Trump announced he will be coming back to Twitter and his team has asked Facebook to lift the ban on him heading into the campaign. As my loyal readers know, I’ve been called the John Nolte of my generation. I happened to notice Nolte wrote about this very same topic today on Breitbart. Since I have a lot of respect for Nolte, I cannot attempt to out-write him on the same topic. (Also, I have a real job, and I’m tired.) In place of my usual nightly rant, I give you woke ChatGPT’s take (not mine) on Trump’s return to Twitter. Since ChatGPT is garbage, I know this cannot possibly one up Nolte. Here you go:

On January 8, 2021, former President Donald Trump returned to Twitter after a two-month suspension from the platform. Trump’s account had been suspended following the January 6th insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, which was incited by Trump’s false claims of election fraud. Twitter cited “risk of further incitement of violence” as the reason for the suspension.
Trump’s return to Twitter was met with mixed reactions. Some welcomed his return as a sign of free speech and the right to express one’s opinions. Others criticized the decision to allow him back on the platform, citing concerns about the spread of misinformation and the potential for further incitement of violence.
Twitter has stated that it will be closely monitoring Trump’s account and will take action if he violates the platform’s rules and policies. The company has also implemented new policies to combat the spread of misinformation and to hold public figures accountable for their actions.
In addition, Twitter has also added a label to tweets from Trump and other public figures that may contain false information about the 2020 U.S. Presidential election or other civic processes.
In conclusion, Donald Trump’s return to Twitter has sparked a debate about free speech and the role of social media in moderating the content shared by public figures. While some welcome his return, others have concerns about the potential spread of misinformation and incitement of violence. Twitter has stated that it will be closely monitoring Trump’s account and taking action if he violates the platform’s rules and policies.
